Once upon a time there was a little girl who always wore a red cap.

Deshalb haben alle sie Rotkäppchen genannt. That's why everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.

Bring ihr bitte Kuchen und Wein.“One day her mother said: “Grandmother is ill. Please take her some cake and wine.”

„Bleib auf dem Weg und lauf nicht in den Wald!““Stay on the path and don't run into the forest!”

Die Großmutter wohnte draußen im Wald.Grandmother lived out in the forest.

Unterwegs hat Rotkäppchen einen Wolf getroffen. On the way, Little Red Riding Hood met a wolf.

She didn't know that he was wicked, and she wasn't afraid.

„Zu meiner Großmutter“, hat sie geantwortet.“Where are you going?” the wolf asked kindly. “To my grandmother,” she answered.

„Bring deiner Großmutter doch einen Strauß mit.““Look at the beautiful flowers!” said the wolf. “Why not take your grandmother a bunch?”

Little Red Riding Hood ran off the path into the forest and picked flowers.

But the wolf ran quickly to grandmother's house.
